Jim Maher, CLTC®, CSA®

Jim grew up in San Jose and is a graduate of Bellarmine and San Jose State University. Jim is a Certified Senior Advisor specializing in senior health care needs. As a Medicare consultant/broker, he assists individuals and companies with the intricacies of Medicare. He can walk you through the process of enrolling in Medicare and obtaining supplemental coverage. As a Long Term Care Insurance Strategist, Jim has been helping families plan and prepare for extended care needs since 1989. Jim is passionate about making sure individuals and families are properly protected regarding their Long-Term Care & Life insurance needs.

He has been married to his wife Teddi for 37 years and has three adult boys. Jim resides in Lincoln, Ca with Teddi and their spoiled dogs Lulu and Duffy.

Katie Burris  

Katie entered the business and joined McGrew & Maher in 2004 working for Jim and Don, who was her father. When Don passed away in 2019, she took over as co-owner of the company. 

She specializes in employee benefit programs for business owners as well as plans for individuals and families. Katie keeps up to date with the ever-changing guidelines of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She can assist you with getting quotes, applying and maintaining your coverage. Katie also specialies in Medicare and Long Term Care planning.

She married her high school sweetheart, Brian in 2007. They have two young daughters and she delights the office with her stories of their adventures and misadventures! 

Matthew Maher

Matthew is the youngest son of Jim and was born and raised in Roseville, Ca. After graduating from Cal State Monterey Bay in 2016, he entered the insurance industry. Starting at Western Health Advantage where he obtained his California Life and Health Agent License, he worked with both individual and small business health benefits before joining McGrew & Maher in 2019.  

Matthew resides in Lincoln, Ca with his Lovely wife Erika, daughter Emilia and their dog and cats.

Steven Maher

Steven is Jim's middle son and was born and raised in Roseville, Ca. He attended Sierra College and worked his way up the ladder at Whole Foods Market. He left as a supervisor, traveled throughout Europe and joined our firm in 2017. Steven is a California Licensed Life and Health Agent and assists Jim in helping clients with Medicare and Long Term Care planning.  Currently, Steven resides in Lincoln, Ca with his two cats, Jackson and Piper.

Suzanne Corbin

Suzanne joined us in 2012 and has 40+ years of experience providing assistance to business owners, employees and families. Suzanne has been married to her husband Rick (blind-date!) since 1972. She has two adult sons and became a grandmother in July of 2014!
